We had the most beautiful buffet lunch at Maxwell's in Bombay, last weekend. It was a catered event for my aunty Elaine's 70th birthday. The location - in the middle of the rolling, green countryside, with the restaurant opening out onto the golf course - makes you feel like you've gotten away from the city. The food was incredibly good. Fresh, perfectly cooked and tasty. We had scotch fillet and gravy, chicken breast, roasted kumara, pumpkin and carrots and a lemon herb couscous salad. The bread rolls were incredibly fresh and the dessert a perfect end to the meal - fruit salad and cream and light slices of cheesecake. It felt like the food was prepared by someone who really knows how to cook, who cares about the ingredients they're using and the people they're preparing it for. It was delicious, satisfying and we walked away feeling good. Thank you Maxwell's staff! We'll be back.
